Publications & Presentations

Recent and Upcoming

I  presented my initial work on Cecylja Klaftenowa’s Lwów-based girls’ trade school for the University of Washington’s Department of Slavic Languages & Literatures in July 2020.

In the spring of 2019, I presented new work on the effects of the Lwów Pogrom on Jewish educational and cultural organizations in the interwar period at the Association for the Study of Nationalities conference in New York City.

Recently, I discussed the Lwów Jewish Museum’s attempt to be a “European” museum in Marburg, as part of the conference “Exhibiting Cities–City Museums in the Emerging Cities of East Central and Northern Europe, 1880-1939.”

I also speak to non-academic audiences. I most recently led a short learning session at Congregation Beth Israel on YIVO’s ethnographic questionnaire for the holiday of shvues.

A complete listing of my papers and talks, as well as my publications, can be found in my CV.

I have also published online for In geveb: A Journal of Yiddish Studies and Jewniverse. Selected articles appear below:
